I learned this the hard way and am still in the process of learning it. I should have dimpled the sides of the rear VS spar before riveting the stiffener on. There is not enough clearance in order for the dimple die to go in straight. See pic. I'm thinking of either getting a pop-rivet dimpler (thin dies) or sacrificing the dies I have, getting new ones, and then grinding them down to obtain clearance, if that is even possible.
I do not want to drill those out, as it took a long time and some effort (thanks for the C-Squeeze, Jim) to get them in.
Any advice, please e-mail me.
